A new tower block extension was completed in 2019. The building comprises a new Cardiothoracic ICU with 3 Operating theatres, Cardiac ICU/ Highcare, Cardiothoracic ward, Surgical Wards and ICU as well as Consulting rooms and hospital administration areas. It also includes an Oncology bunker and Oncology ward. A total of 135 beds was added.
